Privacy Policy

This app and website are operated by Proxi AI ("Proxi", "we", "us"). You can reach our privacy team at privacy@tryproxi.ai. For everything else, email hello@tryproxi.ai.

Account information. Email address, sign-in identifiers, display name, and basic profile details you provide when you create an account.

Memory content you give us. Voice notes, transcripts, journal entries, photos and camera frames you share with Proxi, messages you send to your twin, contacts and people you add, plans and reminders you create, and any files you attach. This is your memory. You choose what enters it.

Device and permissions data. When you enable them in iOS, Proxi may access the microphone, camera, photos, contacts, calendar, notifications, and location. Each permission is optional and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.

Usage and diagnostic data. App events, crash reports, performance metrics, device model, OS version, and coarse language and region. We use this to keep Proxi stable and to fix bugs. We do not use it for advertising.

Purchase data. If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment and shares a transaction identifier so we can unlock features. We do not receive your card details.

To provide Proxi's core experience: remembering what you share, answering your questions, coordinating plans, and suggesting next steps you can approve or dismiss.

To operate your account, authenticate you, send transactional messages (such as sign-in codes, receipts, and important service notices), and respond to support requests.

To keep Proxi reliable and secure, including debugging crashes, preventing abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

To improve Proxi. Where allowed, we may review de-identified samples to improve accuracy and safety. You can opt out of model improvement from inside the app at any time. We never use your private memory to train models for other users.

Proxi uses large language models and speech, vision, and audio models to power its features. Some processing happens on-device and some is performed by trusted service providers acting on our behalf under written data processing agreements. Providers are prohibited from using your content to train their own foundation models.

AI outputs can be wrong. Treat suggestions as suggestions and confirm anything important before you act on it.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content for third-party advertising. We do not read your inbox, listen in the background, or capture data from other apps. Proxi does not send messages, book anything, or share on your behalf unless you approve the action or set an explicit rule allowing it.

When another Proxi user's twin asks yours something (for example, to find a time to meet), your twin only responds within the limits you have set in advance or after you explicitly approve the answer. You can review and revoke these interactions from the app.

We share data with vetted providers only to run the service: cloud hosting, database and storage, authentication, AI inference, transactional email delivery, analytics limited to product performance, crash reporting, and payment processing through Apple. Each provider is contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to deliver services to us.

We may disclose data if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. If control of your data changes, we will notify you.

Proxi is operated from the United States. If you use Proxi from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate, using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Access is restricted to a small number of employees who need it to operate the service.

We retain your memory and account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete an item, it is removed from active systems promptly and purged from backups on a rolling schedule (typically within 30 days). When you delete your account, all associated personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep limited records (for example, tax and billing history).

You can view what Proxi remembers, edit or delete individual items, delete whole topics, export your data, or delete your account directly from the app. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA), you may also have the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@tryproxi.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Proxi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Proxi may link to or integrate with third-party services you choose to connect. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Proxi after a change means you accept the updated policy.
